Biking

The Mölltal offers you the Glocknerradweg R8, a beautiful cycle path through the valley, and many interesting and challenging mountain bike trails. Thus, there are suitable cycling routes here for both occasional cyclists and top athletes.

Glockner Cycle Path R8

The Glockner Cycle Path R8 starts in Heiligenblut and leads through the Möll Valley to Möllbrücke. Along the over 80 km long route you will find several interesting natural attractions such as the Gartlwasserfall in Großkirchheim or the Raggaschlucht in Flattach as well as sights such as the Crystal Exhibition in the Toll Tower in Winklern or the Adventure Museum Zeitfabrik in Lainach.

Mountain biking

In the Möll Valley you have access to a variety of mountain bike trails with varying levels of difficulty.

You can also start several mountain bike tours directly from the Gletscher Apartments (see below).

Hochwurten - Goldgräberhütte

• Destination: Mölltaler Gletscher Middle Station / Goldgräberhütte (2,230 m)

Oscheniksee

• Starting Point: Directly at the Gletscher Apartments (1,060 m)
• Destination: Oscheniksee (2,390 m)
• Difficult Tour: average gradient of 13 %, 46 switchbacks

Hochwurten - Eisseehaus

• Starting Point: Directly at the Gletscher Apartments (1,060 m)
• Intermediate Destination 1: Mölltaler Gletscher Valley Station
• Intermediate Destination 2: Mölltaler Gletscher Middle Station / Goldgräberhütte (2,230 m)
• Intermediate Destination 3: Weißseehaus
• Destination: Eisseehaus / Mölltaler Gletscher (2,790 m)
• Challenging tour in high alpine glacier terrain
